Homeopathy World Community

Creating Waves of Awareness

David Warkentin, creator of MacRepertory and ReferenceWorks, passed away on September 11, 2010. Two months ago, he was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors, which were metastasis of a colon melanoma.

David’s visionary creation of MacRepertory and ReferenceWorks has inspired a revolution in modern homeopathic thinking and practice. He had taught at nearly every homeopathic school in the United States and
numerous schools around the world, as well as serving on the boards of
several homeopathic organizations.

David was the recipient of many awards, including the prestigious Henry N. Williams Professional Service Award from the National Center of Homeopathy in recognition for his years of service, teaching and
dedication to the homeopathic community. David’s education included
nearly three decades worth of seminars and classes in Homeopathy with
countless teachers, including George Vithoulkas and Dr. Francisco
Eizayaga. He also had a Physician’s Assistant license from the
University of California (Davis) Medical School, an honorary doctoral
degree from The British Institute of Homoeopathy U.K., and CCH
Certification from the Council on Homeopathic Certification. He
maintained a private homeopathy practice in Marin County, CA from 1976
to 1995, was co-founder of the Hahnemann Medical Clinic in Berkeley, CA
where he practiced from 1985 to 1989, and then founded KHA in 1989.

Some of David’s other accomplishments include photography and white water rafting. One of the most well-loved and respected leaders in Homeopathy, David would be missed by the whole homeopathic community.

Dear Gary. Thank you for providing this very sad news and a shock to many of us. He will be remembered as one of the great contributors to World Homeopathy. His creativity, child-like smile, innocence, devotion to his art and science, traveling to every homeopathic conference around the world, and friendship to so many. He will be dearly missed. A donation in the name of HWC was given in August to CaringBridge in his honor*.

I can't express how sorry I am to hear the news that David passed.
I met David in 93 at the HCH summer school program and would run into him at conferences given by Dr.s Massimo Mangialavoire and Rajan Sankaran. I always enjoyed his company and charm, the nicest person at every level and such an innovator.
He will be missed

Indeed, David's contributions to homeopathy are immense. His software has helped bring homeopathy into the future.

Just as important, David was an extremely sweet, gentle, generous person. He will be missed, though his contributions to homeopathy live on...
Such sad news! Betty Wood. MD. sent an e-mail earlier today. There will be a gathering in Massachusetts at Rolling Ridge Retreat Center in Andover on Sun. Sept. 26th to honor David. Contact Betty (Homcal) if you would like to attend. I unfortunately won't be able to attend. I too got to know David from the countless seminars - Massimo's, Sankaran, Morrison, etc. He was such such a wealth of knowledge, kind and such a character! He will be right up there with the likes of Julian Winston and Michael Quinn who passed away not that long ago and who contributed so much towards Homeopathy. He will be missed.
May his soul rest in peace.A great figure in Homepathy is no more but his work will keep enlightening many homeopaths with his revolutionary software.
David was a steady supporter of Abha Light Foundation and other pioneering projects around the world. He supported us with software and by other means as well. My emails from him were always imbued with his generosity and kindness. Om Shanti.
Such sad news. The effect of his work on the development of homeopathy in the last 20 years is immeasurable. A man who truly left the world a better place for having lived in it!
A sad news.A veteran of Homoeopathy passed away, leaving behind his creative works for the whole world of Homoeopaths. He will always be remembered and regarded for his contribution," MacRepertory and Reference Works" .
Great loss for Homeopathy.

May his soul rest in peace.
