My favorite website, thanks for posting it Debby.

Now Shirleys personal journey using homeopathy;
In 1982 my doctor told me that I had to have a mastectomy because my body was no longer responding to medication. But I was determined to not let them cut off my breast. I had had enough of orthodox medicine; I knew I had to change direction to improve my overall health and vitality.
I visited a naturopathic/homeopathic doctor who explained to me that the combination of an unhealthy diet and the huge number of allopathic medications I had taken for years, had caused toxins to accumulate in my blood, lymph, and tissues, resulting in toxemia. These toxins contributed greatly to my weak immune system and rendered me more susceptible to stress, fatigue, and chronic disease. The naturopathic/homeopathic doctor pointed out that I had to radically change my diet if there was any hope for improving my miserable health.

The road to recovery

The naturopath (who was also a homeopath ) made me switch my diet from SAD (an acronym for "Standard American Diet") to a wholesome diet of fresh, organically grown fruits, vegetables, and nuts, mostly in their raw form. I totally eliminated from my diet the starchy stuff like grains, rice, pasta, and bread as well as meat and dairy products. This radical change of diet was very hard because I was so adicted to these foods and I was always hungry. In time I learned to prepare delicious and nutritious meals made entirely of RAW foods and I never felt deprived or hungry (more about raw food recipes) I then began homeopathic treatment. (see the No Grain Diet)

The results of the diet change and homeopathic treatment were dramatic.

In 6 weeks, the lumps in my breast were completely gone.

(cause/prevention/natural cures of breast cancer). In 12 weeks I had lost 60 pounds effortlessly (and never had to struggle again to keep my weight down) and my energy level and stamina improved dramatically. I was able to function better overall. I became calmer, centered and focused, and generally I felt happier. My overall resistance to infections became excellent, and I'm proud to say that in the past 20 years I have not had a cold, flu, ear, throat, sinus or breast infection or any other infections.

I was amazed that even my debilitating back pains responded to the homeopathic treatment and the change of diet.
Life-changing story from life-changing behavior and wisdom.
FREEDOM TO --- BE UNCONDITIONALLY
PERCEPTION OF REALITY --- AS IT IS
BEING IN --- PRESENT
BEING --- LOVE
I believe that Manish has got it just right. I have always used the idea of freedom when talking about health and restriction when talking about illness. It doesn't matter what level of being you apply it to, it still works. It is the simplest, shortest answer and, in this case, the best one as well as far as I am concerned.

Health is the feeling of well-being; your whole body is functioning at its peak without any disturbance, you feel a certain well-being, certain atonement (unity) with existence. Health is holistic; it is attunement of the body, mind and soul with the purpose of our existence (living).

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” – Thomas Edison

Dr. Samuel Hahnenmann who founded the system of homeopathy says “The physician’s high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed.” Cure is nothing but restoration of health. And, this can be done easily if one knows the things that derange health and cause disease.
So, what are the things that cause disease? If we consider the word ‘disease’, it means we are in a state of dis-ease, not at ease. This means that our health is deranged.

Right Diet, Right Labor (Exercise, Trade, Vocation) and Right Sleep are the three pillars of health.

And below I am reproducing a interesting article extract:
Without Illness Nobody Will Be Healthy – Osho
(Extracted from ‘The Hidden Harmony’ Ch 11)
A healthy person is bound to fall ill sometimes. But you have different conceptions; you think a healthy person should never be ill – that is absolutely foolish. It is not possible. Only a dead person is never ill. A healthy person has to be ill sometimes.
Through illness he attains health again, and then the health is fresh. Passing through the opposite, it again becomes new. Have you ever watched? After prolonged fever, when you are getting well you have freshness; the whole body seems to be rejuvenated.
If you remain healthy for seventy five years continuously, your health will be like an illness, a death, because it was never rejuvenated, never made fresh. The opposite always gives freshness. It will be stale if you are never ill; your health will become like a burden. Sometimes falling ill is beautiful. I am not saying to remain in bed forever; that too would be bad. Always being ill is bad. Anything that becomes a permanent thing is bad. Anything that moves and flows into the other is good, it is alive.
Nice. I would like some of that "sleep" part of the pillar [pillow]. In the dynamic of life, we all have this on a daily basis. We wake to a new day, work/play, tired and then sleep, which is like a mini death.
