Family relations = Remedy relations?
I am interested in the connection between family members and relationship of homeopathic remedies. Does anyone have experience treating whole family? Children and parents? I’d like you use you huge experience and move a bit in my research.

Older child(girl)-Ars.alb.- her husband- Nat.mur,
Younger child(girl)- Nat.mur.-her boyfriend- Mercurius.sol.
Interestingly I saw a sister of older girls husband and she is very likely Ars.alb.

I have always been interested in this topic ~ familial relationships and combinations of personality types using homeopathic analysis. It is all within the realm of family dynamics and what personality types are attracted to each other and/or how they fit together, compensate or fulfill needs.
This is a vast topic area. What Category do you think this fits the best? I see you have it listed under Homeopathy-Study-Guide. Perhaps "psychology" may do better?

I do think this is a very interesting topic and what a coincidence it is exactly the same topic as was put on the icelandic homeopatic forum on the 24th of October. Same waves/thoughts/questions happening in different places in the world :D
The question there: Is it possible for Phosphorus and Calc. Carb. parents to have a Sulphur child?
Unfortunetely there aren´t many answers there yet.
It might be very interesting if homeopaths would go through their files, were the whole family has been in treatment, and do an informal research - it could give us very interesting results, don´t you think?

Oh, really? How interesting. I would like to know more about the Icelandic forums results then. :-) Yes, i am sure that many people think this way. The question sounds a bit shocking for the first time you read it, because we don't connect homeopathic remedies like that...but it's a good idea. Thanks for this contribution!

Dear Katerina,
this is indeed an interesting question I've been pondering about for a while. Kent has written that one can see characteristic features and peculiarities in families continuing in the process of inheritance. At first subjective symptoms, later objective symptoms, which characeterize the initial stage of each disease. He states that it is not rare that the whole family needs the same remedy for cure or a related remedy. But whereas the pathological disposition leads to the manifestation of cancer in a certain family member it may lead to tuberculosis in another. Boger even goes beyond symptoms and writes that the weakest point(s) of the organism, i.e. the affetced organs or tissues, tend to be the same over generations and give a hint to the indicated (constitutional) chronic remedy. I do not have enough experience to draw a general conclusion but for my family both seem to be true.

yes, it is in his Lectures on homeopathy, but he does not go into further details. With regard to Boger is was written in some of his articles, but I'm afraid I don't remember which.

I think that Phosphor and Calc.carb parents can have a Sulphur child. I don´t know if family member should take the same remedy or different, I would first say different remedies - if we go beyond typical concepts of family, the family is - many souls bound at certain place and time (because of some purpose). The child might be physically similar to the parents but If we think the child is only "ours" and that a child doesn´t have its individual soul and needs, then it comes to many disturbances.
Perhaps we can say that phosphor parents can´t have sulphur child if we look only physical aspects. But at least hoemopathy is very spiritual, so how can this just be? There is one very nice book: Men are from Mars, Women from Venus and Children are from heaven" and it is nicely explained that children love their parents doesn´t matter what and they will try to adjust to their parents.
There is also a very common saying: With whom you are, so you´ll become. And it doesn´t reffer only to family.I think the mental contagiousness through toughts, words and deeds is the same strong but because we are spending the most of time with family members this contagiousness comes more to expression...If parents try to make their children similar to them or even overload them with their own wishes and views on life, a child will develop certain symptoms wich were not needed and doesn´t really correspond to their constitutional types - I don´t know if I am right - but I see it very often, beginning from my own family, neighbourhood and the whole humanity.
The child accepts his parent´s "matrix" because it loves his parents. His own are in most of the cases suppressed. So if a parent is for example Calc. carbonicum and has certain fears, it is quite sure that they will conciously or subcounciously develop in their children too.
There are mostly two births in life - one your normal birth and the second is when you start to look who you really are. Sometimes the matrix of the family correspond to this one of a child, but mostly the situation is completely differnt, we see so many clashes between family members... and most of people have to go through the "second birth" to find who they really are. And homeopathy is a good way to do it ;)

I have never seen an entire family take the same const. remedy,EVER! I see many families (mother/father/children)
If i might inject an oppinion; If the mother is pregnant depending on what her mental state is added to the predisposed Miasms=outcome of constitution for baby. As this baby grows up events start to happen,Trauma/Abuse/vaccines/Wars/Rape etc-this changes the const. adding a layer-perhaps a permanent change. Look at sepia I have NEVER met a child Sepia,most sepia const. become this later in life.
Miasms can be passed on to 7 generations,but thats a different subject than Constitutional typology.

Here's an obvious one perhaps, because it's straight from the textbook: Jan Scholten gives Praseodymium (Stage 5) as the younger twin of Neodymium (Stage 6). I know twins who superficially seem to fit the description.
