INDIVDULIZATION

Age 41 Years

Sex Female

Occupation Housewife

CHIEF COMPLAINT -

Dyspepsia – about 8 years old, after eating fatty object, about half an hour after eating the food.
Pain – in the middle of back. Worse after eating.
Breast discomfort – before menses, complaint start from second delivery. About 21 years old complaint.
Swelling – Whole over the body – Associated with joint pain in all joint.
Constipation – not urging 3to 4 days.
Stool hard –
Gallstone -

Medical history –

All complaint after marriage-

Operation to prevent child birth

Jaundice

Fever

Personal history –

Menarche – at 14 years

Bleeding – days

Dysmenorrhoea

Issue – two sons

Marriage – at 16 years

Brning in urine at the time of First pregnancy

Complaint of nausea and vomiting at the time of first pregnancy

PARTICULAR –

Hot patient

Complaint due to take cold

Appetite – N.A.D

Thirst – Large quantity at long interval

Dryness of mouth

NUMERICAL TOTALITY OF THE SYMPTOMS

Gallstone
Dyspepsia
Swelling in the abdomen
Swelling whole over the body
Pain in joint mostly on knee
Constipation – not urging upto 3 to 4 days
Stool – hard
Thirst – large quantity long interval, mostly at night.
All complaint worse after eating especially of stomach
Desire for open air

Story of the case-

According to statement of my patients she is completely healthy until she got marriage. After marriage she pregnant and feel burning during urination at the time of first pregnancy. Within one year she become again pregnant both delivery is normal at the time of last delivery, she operated for prevention of child birth, at the age of 25 years. All complaint begins after this operative procedure. .

Dr. Saurav thanks you, to Participate in the discussion your most welcome, the aim of this discussion is only to considered the different aspect of the selection of medicine. which is a basic Practical problem in the field of Homeopathy.

Yes your selection may be right, (According to aphorims 5 Organon of medicine) but that lady have some other problem before performing the Operation for the prevention of child birth. That is Burning and difficulty during passing urine at the time of first pregnancy. its mean the actual cause is something else prior to performing operation.

Find the correct cause ?

Is this a cured case and hence a quiz? Dr Sajjadkram has done a nice analysis. 8 out of 8 rubrics are in Bry. (1remedy). 7 out of 8 in 4 remedies and 6 out of 8 in 27 + remedies. As for me, I would also look into mental symptoms of the patient which further strengthens one of the remedies above. May be Sepia if there is sudden collapse from excess work and has suppressed anger etc. Or Bry if she is avers to being disturbed of has a fear of movement etc. Please give detailed mental status of patient for further analysis.

Mind - Careless
physical makeup - Fatty woman
Dark complexion

What made you think she is indolent?

What made you think she is careless?

Can you recollect what she told you which indicate above two ?

A few simple, non leading questions about her family back ground after her marriage would have given her present mental state. We can further discuss this aspect of this type of prescribing. There are many doctors in this community who follow this method.

Sir I have drawn this picture from the fact that she is suffering from the complaint of Gallstone since last 6 years, allopathic doctor advice to her about the fact that it may be danger for your life, if it will be ruptured (Gallbladder) but she is careless about this fact. What’s its mean?

She is careless due to the sluggishness of her mind

Carelessness may also indicate Indifference. In a repertory, mind- indifference(apathy) contain more than 100 sub rubrics. you can select which indicates the situation of the patient and add it to your analysis.

INTERPRETATION AND TREATMENT OF THE CASE

INTERPRETATION -

That woman is completely healthy until she got marriage, after marriage she is infected with active form of sycosis that is receive by her husband. The symptoms of active sycosis first time appear during the first pregnancy that is burning pain in urethra during urination.

Very soon she pregnant again, and operated for the prevention of child birth. But the sycosis remain uncured even suppressed after operative procedure. Now sycosis completed its internal course and within six years it is responsible for

Acidity
Rheumatism
Swelling of the body
Breast discomfort
And other inflammatory problem of the woman.

In-fact sycosis is the great inflammatory miasm, responsible for the most of the inflammatory diseases occur in the woman like

Endometriosis
Salpingitis
oophoritis
Veginitis
Pelvic inflammatory diseases of the women.

TREATMEN –

Suppressed sycosis is the cause of the complaint of that woman, so we have a need of a “Anti-sycotic medicine” that is capable to cover the present group of symptoms. That is of-course BRYONIA Dr. Sajjadakram is absolutely correct.

So this is treatment based on miasms. I do not know about this theory at all. As a classical treatment, Dr. Sajjad got it in a few minutes of repeortarization and got Bry. But about 4 more remedies were close to Bry, where there should be clear understanding of differentiation with other modalities, physicals, concomitants etc. in classic method. Of course if it were to be Dr, Sajjad's case, he would have observed the above for differentiation. Prescribers who understand mind symptoms have there own way of differentiation. and of course the miasmatic approach.

In all the ways, Homeopathy wins. There are several ways of coming to a remedy after case taking. How nice if we know all the ways !

Dr. Habib, Please tell us how you differentiate among the 40+ cycotic remedies to get the similimum? This would be a good point for understanding and learning.

Yes Dr. Khan, Bryonia is a great anti psoric and to a little bit- sycotic. The case you entered is Psoric +++ and sycotic +. There is no marked evidence of Syphilis till now. The Correct similimum is Psora +++ and Sycosis+. The Bryonia is the correct similimum. I was waiting for the end of the quiz because the Bryonia was standing alone and no matter of discussion was there. Thanks. But, the case presentation was insufficiently clear to provide a fine picture of the diseased state or remedy portrait.
