Homeoprophylaxis
The largest study in the world on the long-term health effects of homeopathic immunisation was completed at Melbourne's Swinburne University (Australia) in 2004 (by Dr Isaac Golden). It found that:
* Homeopathic immunisation had a 90.4% efficacy against epidemic childhood diseases - a rate similar to or better than that of conventional vaccines.
* In contrast to vaccines, homeopathic immunisation was non-toxic and safe.
The study also looked at the relationship between four different immunisation choices (homeopathic immunisation, vaccination, a mixed naturopathic approach, and nothing) and the development of chronic disease in 781 children over a 12-year period. It found that of all groups, those who had been immunised homeopathically had the lowest incidence of chronic health problems. They suffered less asthma, eczema, allergies, and behavioural issues. The sickest children came from the fully vaccinated group. On asthma alone, they had a fifteen times greater incidence of the disease than un-vaccinated children.

Here they are wanting to give it to boys as well as girls. One of our office staff has a son who is repeatedly coming home from school with notes saying he has to have it. Of course, he does not HAVE to have it and I doubt he will ever suffer cervical cancer ... I could be wrong :)

Thanks for this - there is also the inspiring work done recently in Cuba with their annual Leptospirosis epidemic spread by rats. Startling results and I believe Dr. Golden will be involved in conducting more "watertight" metrics next year:

Hi Mark,
Yes, the Cuban study was tremendous. Fran and I were contacted regarding the Havana International Conference back in July 2007 and I was asked to promote it on The Do No Harm Initiative Inc. site, which I did. Fran was asked to assist but was unable to attend (well, the clinic is booked 4 months out) but she was able to give them Isaac's email address.
The greatest percentage of our work now is with immunisation and vaccine related problems - on the one hand helping parents avoid vaccines and on the other working with the vaccine damaged. Unfortunately it is all getting a bit much as we have patients from every State in Australia, from Canada, the US, England, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Egypt, Turkey, Iran and India. Wonderful except for the time differences though we had an Indian Doctor who flew out with her family for the initial consultation and another Doctor in Iran wants to do the same. I think they like a holiday :)
We would have loved to have attended the Cuban conference. I suspect that they are less influenced by the US drug companies, lucky folk.

WOW this news is very provocative. Vaccination for flu seems to be a farce- I know of dozens of students this year who took the shot and got the flu. How do we get the word out?? The AMA seems to control the agenda- at least in the US.

My husband is a registered nurse and was dismayed to see how many nurses lined up for the free flu shots offered at his hospital (Sydney, Asutralia). He noted that within a week or two, they would have a staff shortage due to illness (flu's) from the vaccinations.
He quietly goes about asking the 'right' questions of his colleagues so that they being to ask themselves questions about noramlly accepted practices and protocols. He also leaves literature around the tea rooms with information about the dangers of vaccination, plus the advantages of homeopathy and other complementary therapies.
We have a 10 year old who has never been vaccinated, although our older adult children were - we were nurses trying to 'do the right thing'. Our ten year old is way healthier than the other two. We have three granchildren - one of whom is partially vaccinated. This one has developed eczema and other allergies/intolerances. The other 2 are vaccination free, and have no problems in those areas.
Telling our own stories to others is frequently a good way to help them make informed decisions about health issues. What better advertising is there than word of mouth?

In the conciousness of most of the people the term "vaccination" sounds like something completely normal, what everybody should do and
"doing the right thing" it is one of the main problems by new parents. Me too, I didn´t know that vaccination can cause so many problems.
My son was vaccinated and as a 5 month baby got some kind of "unnatural movements" of the head and extremities and was sent from his doctor to his friend doctor physiotherapist to do some kind of gymnastic. But I think now this was because of the vaccination. What makes me angry is that those doctors knew it also!
Later he also had problems with skin and some allergic reactions and I have never heard anyone talking it could be because of the vaccine, except from the homeopath who healed his neurodermitis.
I don´t want that my son gets another vaccination in the age of 6!!
It is really needed to do more educational programmes about vaccination and make people conciouss what kind of terrible stuff is given to the infants!

Dear Tihana,
Using Vaccination is purely parent's personal decision. Being a qualified Homeopath, I decided and I never had vaccination for my only son Varun (now 28).
I am sorry to learn about your son's problems after receiving vaccination. Sometimes we are forced to do vaccination by the local health authorities, who think that they are helping, but infacts making things worse in many cases.
In the United Kingdom, there are so many debates and seminars, but no solution is confirmed yet. In any case, please read the book on homeopathic prophylaxis by Dr Isaac Golden,of Australia who has done extensive research and contribution on this issue.

Nice work up all you people
Well there is an increased belief and assertion amongst many homeopaths world over regarding homeo-prophylaxis that we need to give a remedy made from the product derived from the pathological counterpart of the disease to be prevented ... more or less on the allopathic lines
E.g. Tuberculinum for Tuberculosis
Diphtherinum for diphtheria
Ledum for tetanus
Variolinum for measles, etc.
How rational is it ?

dear ranga u have mentioned only the nosodes . there are so many other homeo medicines which are given for prophylaxis in homeopathy which are not on allopathic lines
g bell mercsol puls for mumps ;aco gels puls for measles;aco bell for chickenpox
moreover there is no harm in using tuberculinum bacillinum variolinum or diphtherinum as far as we r using them homeopathically
we shud not have any allergy with any pathy and our main aim shud be to preserve the health of man kind

Dear Rashmi ~ how would this apply to using the remedies as a prophylactic? Would you evaluate the symptoms of an epidemic and then give the appropriate epidemicus that fits the symptoms? Would you evaluate the individual and determine which of the remedies for a particular disease match that individual personality type?
Do we call the pairing of Nosode [disease matter] to the disease an isopathic approach to the prescription?
