How Does Homeopathy Manage Respiratory Distress in Pediatric Cases?

In my internship duty I worked in an allopathy hospital. I saw emergency management in respiratory distress in pediatrics cases. My respected doctors, I'm interested to know how homoeopathy manages emergency cases of respiratory distress in pediatrics? RESPIRATORY DISTRESS is a very common in case of child. Sometimes respiratory distress is very dangerous and may even cause death. What are the management methods and approaches in homoeopathy?

Following rubrics and medicines can be selected depending upon the condition of infant/child.As you know that respiratory distress can be very dangerous, so doctor must consider the prognosis at all levels.

Respiration, anxious :

Aco., Ip., Pho., Pul., Squil., Stan.

Respiration, asthmatic :

Aco., Ars., Ip., Kali-c., Lach., Lob., Nux-v., Pul., Samb., Sil., Spo., Stan.

Respiration, breathe again, can't :

Ap., Bell., Coca., Helo., Rum.

Respiration, difficult, suffocating, choking, etc. :

Respiration, short :

acute phase must be met with inducing cough , if an infant which wouldnot cough or vomit would surely have distress in breathing... if bronchial tubes are loaded with mucus best option is to give him antimonium tart , in the start untill it vomits and starts coughing to swallow mucus to stomach.
sambucus senega stannum ipecac are all usefull to complete the cure according to the remaining symtopms.
remember never to raise head of an infant while sleeping , it must always be level with the body so that the mucus in chest would raise up...to be expelled ..nose might get blocked after mucus is raised to upper respiratory tract , then one must administer remedies to open the blocked nose. i hope that was what ya meant by respiratory distress .. if its broncial spasm ...then management is totally different.

Good list of types of respiration is given by Dr.Sushil Bahl. These and other generals like time of aggravation etc are to be considered I think. Also mental symptoms like type of weeping of these babies and by what action they stop weeping etc indicate strongly towards remedies. Since the cases are from pediatric ward, I assume that only small babies who can not express themselves in words are to be observed for their reactions and gestures. Type of weeping will be one of the important observation to be made. Thanks.
