Hypertension and Homoeopathy

Definition of hypertension: The medical name for high blood pressure.

Historical review of hypertension: Blood exerts pressure. That fact was first discovered by the English physician William Harvey (1578–1657) in the 1600s. Until nearly a century later, no one actually tried to measure blood pressure.

The English clergyman and physiologist Stephen Hales devised the first blood pressure measuring device. He cut open the blood vessel in various animals and inserted a metal pipe into the vessel. He then connected the pipe to a long glass tube. Blood was pushed out of the vessel into the glass tube. The blood rose to different levels in the tube for different animals.

It took another century for physicians to find a way to take blood pressure without actually cutting into a blood vessel. In 1876, the German physician Samuel Siegried von Basch (1837–1905) invented the first sphygmomanometer.
  • Systolic Blood PressureThe highest pressure reached by blood in the arteries is called the systolic pressure. Systolic it is the force of blood in the arteries as the heart

V V  in 6c is may favourite. It helps many times.

sajjad.

Dear Sir,

Pl. read the following----

§ 257

The true physician will take care to avoid making favorite remedies of medicines, the employment of which he has, by chance, perhaps found often useful, and which he has had opportunities of using with good effect. If he do so, some remedies or rarer use, which would have been more homoeopathically suitable, consequently more serviceable, will often be neglected.                                       Organon...

In spite of this, there is some place of specifics in clinical homeopathy.
Regards.
sajjad.

Ofcourse sir, but not to be prejudiced. Regards.

It is a fact that there are many homeopaths who find some remedies as their favorites or specifics and frequently use in their practice with satisfactory results, whereas in similar situations some others may be using different medicines to get similar results. One may not find these tips in text books but then practice at times may differ from theoretical guidelines. Likewise Dr. Sajjadakram might have found V V his favorite in dealing with HTN cases.

That is true sir. But we should be holistic... Regards.

Really nice information sir

Thanks Dr. Wani...

Thank you sir for this informative article. But I want to know What will be the guide line of treatment if pt comes to us with CVA and in the stage of coma. Have you any Experience? If so, please share to us.

Very good question Dr. Molla. We shall consider only the subjective symptoms or/and his history revealed by attendents if available. I do treat such a patients in my IPD....

Thank You Sir.

Whether the similimum alone is sufficient to control the blood pressure & remove the intracranial blood clot or along with it other medicines should have to prescribed? If so what type of medicines are chosen and what will be the potency and repetation? If similimum alone is sufficient, what will be the potency and repetation?
