My Failure! My Mistake?

Mr. Rastogi, M 63 years, Sarcoidosis, IV stage, severe breathing difficulty, Better in AC room, < outdoors, mild cynosis on nails, clubbed nails, audible rolling of water in chest and abdomen after drinking water. Can not sit due to aggravation of dyspnoea on sitting up, pain around heart on little exertion. Frequently drops into sleep with loud snoring and wakes up with demand of breath and little water. This condition was continued since last fifteen days. Neither deterioration, nor improvement with any sort of drugs he was taking.

I put half spoon of water mixed with a trace of Laurocerosus 30 on his tongue. Within 10 minutes, he went into deep sleep and no more snoring, because no more breath.

My failure, wrong decision to treat?

Might been he survive some more days if not treated?

What should be done at that time?

Should we leave such a cases on their fate?

I feel if a doctor is called on to treat, he should not refuse. No one knows God's will. You have to do your duty. What if there was a miraculous recovery! This possibility also existed.

I feel in such cases though palliative remedies should be used...at least till such a point the the vital force has picked up to bear the jolt a dynamized remedy could possibly give to the organism. Mother tinctures should be safe when the vital force is at its lowest ebb.

I have know a case of 6 patients with hepatitis a case given up by the hospital. A Jesuit naturopath was allowed to treat as the case was considered beyond recovery by the other doctors. A combination IV drip of Cardus M, Chelidonium, Ceanthus americanus helped 4 of them pull out to recovery.

This case must have been like Anaphylaxis in Homeopathy

as described by Dr. Koppikar's book (click link above).

In advance stage when life is in danger it is better to give short acting remedies covering only the present acute condition. Once it is in control we can go for deep acting remedies to overcome the pathology.

Stage IV or end-stage fibrosis is seen in 20% of patients with sarcoidosis. Stage IV findings include reticular opacities with architectural distortion, retraction of the hili and the fissures superiorly, cysts and bullae, bronchiectasis, honeycombing, and conglomerate masses. These patients may develop pulmonary artery hypertension and cor pulmonale.

Dr. Rajneesh, you have done your best at the stage when the patient was brought to you for the treatment.

Question is whether we should pass such cases to the emergency or not. My answer is yes.

All terminal cases,must be referred to emergencies.

In exceptional cases, when the Homoeopath is very much sure of his medicine, then, I think he has the right to provide the treatment to the patient and he must provide the relief to the patient.
