Creating Waves of Awareness
Working as a general practitioner I have no time for long repertorization[s]
Therefore I try to remember some important keynotes and use them whenever it seems appropriate.
These days I saw again a remarkable result with a remedy that I use when there are just "3 legs" present: Medorrhinum [all that is written below can be found in the materia medica of course]
I have seen it working remarkable well when the follow symptoms are present:
Preferable [nearly a must] sleep position : abdomen
Mental: adventurist [likes [new] challenges]
Strong craving for orange juice
Sometimes the constant "worried" question : "what will be"? " what is going to be" can also be an important clue to the remedy
If you like memory tricks: A-B-C [abdomen, bored easily [wants challenges/changes] ,citrus [in this case oranges]
Whenever these 3 "keynotes" are there medorrhinum seems to be a perfect match [I did not need other symptoms for prescribing it]
In most cases I gave it as 10M but I don't know if this is important.
Didier Grandgeorge mentions Medorrh. as an important knee remedy.
Maybe another time about the remarkable linguistic "chance-connection”{?} between Gon-arthritis and Gon-orrhoea [Medorrhinum nosode], even is the vocabularies give different etymology.
Recently I saw a young men being healed overnight with one globule Medorrh 10 M with a swollen red knee [cause unknown][happened to have Grandgeorge in my mind]

A Concise Materia Medica and Repertory of Nosodes author C. K. Shreedharan
Dr. Hahnemann's method of dilution, succussion and potentization of disease matter has been proved on human beings for their curative properties without causing any harm or side-effects.
Even though they contain no detectable matter from the original substance, these long-acting nosodes act deeply.
Homeopaths have found them essential remedies in the cure of acute and chronic diseases. These nosodes have often been used as an 'intercurrent' between other acute or constitutional remedies to see further improvement of health.
Dr Shreedharan has found the use of nosodes, like Psorinum, Bacillinum, Malandrinum, Medorrhinum, Tuberculinum, Carcinosinum, essential to treat most chronic cases.

Permalink Reply by Dr Muhammed Rafeeque on March 8, 2012 at 12:06am 'Totality' is often considered as the numerical totality of the case, hence symptoms that do not characterise the individual create confusion in the remedial diagnosis. Hence, the presence of some sure indications can be considered for drug selection. This method, just like Allen's 3 legged stool, is actually a topic for debate. Since result is more important than the theory, there is nothing wrong in trying this method. Thanks.
Most of the busy practitioners use this 3-legged stool symptoms method. When in any case the three prominent symptoms point towards a particular remedy, that remedy becomes the 'near' similimum and often resolves the case.

I read about many such three legged deciders in a book 'Theory of acutes" by Dr. Praful Vijaykar.
They will be extremely useful if remembered. Thanks Dr. Harold..
