Causticum may even be used when attacks are of a convulsive nature, especially when they recur at the new moon.

It is only the laws which govern the relation of the planets, which regulate the tides and have to do with the periodicity of nature generally, that also apply to the moon and to the disturbances within the human body. So it is that some symptoms are worse at new moon, others at full moon – some at the rise and others at the fall of the tide.
