After long time, presenting quiz 4
Female 37yrs
Came with chief complaint of Insomnia since 3yrs
Her mother-in-law was hospitalized 3yrs back
Since there was no one to help she has to be with her in hospital
My MIL is very loving lady, I did everything I could
I use to stay awake whole night, as she might require something at night
She got well and came back
But since then I started getting sleepless
I am unable to sleep even if I am tired, worked whole day
Sometimes I sleep but that is hardly 10mins, then I get up
Even if I close my eyes, I know I am awake
Doesn’t feel fresh
She stays in joint family, do all house hold work
Loves to work for family even when tired
Thermals- Ambi to Chilly
Thirst – Thirstless
Stool, Urine- Normal
Giddiness in Merry-Go-Round
Motion sickness, Can’t travel in Bus
Follow Up after a week
Felt better
I slept after such a long time
Feels fresh
This lady later brought her mother next week, and her mother brought 37 patients that too from Baroda (9-12 hrs from Mumbai)

Looks like Cocculus to me,
Insomnia from nursing the sick (loss of sleep),
chilly,
Motion sickness

If this is not obviously cocculus indicus then I will need help finding the remedy. Let me open my repertory first and then check the materia medica

With these symptoms it is cocc.
