Uses : The bark is astringent, sweet, acrid, cooling, aphrodisiac, cardiotonic, urinary astringent, expectorant, alexiteric and is useful in fractures, ulcers, cirrhosis of the liver, hyperhidrosis, otalgia and hypertension. A decoction of the bark is used as wash in ulcers. It improves cardiac muscle function and pumping action of the heart.

Has anyone used this bark for a specific patient? Have you used it in tincture form or another method of application for one of the listed symptoms?

Tincture is available in Pakistan.It is mainly used as a heart tonic and for hypertension and gives good result in both.

ARJUNA mother tincture is very effective that works wonder in heart disease and clears blockages. It is also useful after heart surgery to keep the heart normal & healthy. Since arjuna has a powerful effect on heart muscle, it should be taken for angina or congestive heart failure only after consulting a physician. Very high dosages of Arjuna can cause liver harm or reduce thyroid gland activity.
