Creating Waves of Awareness
Hi Everyone
I have two twitter accounts which I use @vitalenergetics and @UKHomNews. I was sceptical of twitter at first but now can see just how good it is for reaching people and raising the awareness of homeopathy. It's great to see lots of homeopaths on there now but I don't believe that we are using twitter very effectively as a community. The beauty of twitter is that you only need a couple of people to "retweet" and your message can reach people who previously you wouldn't have. But I have noticed that seldom does a tweet on homeopathy on twitter get retweeted. Everytime I see a good tweet on homeopathy I RT, but I have noticed that not many others do so. My ambition with UK Homeopathy News (http://ukhomeopathynews.com) is to boost homeopathy's presence on the internet by developing greater viewing numbers for all homeopathic sites and blogs. So I often look through twitter and the internet looking for things to tweet about homeopathy, the only problem being that between both of my accounts I only have 250 followers, so the links are not reaching many people, and with few people RT.
What I ask is that those with twitter accounts actively RT anything that they believe to be positive and beneficial. I have noticed that the majority of homeopaths on twitter supply great links and articles but rarely RT other peoples links. If we want to reach more people through social media then we need to use Twitter more effectively, we have to RT and be more aware of others' tweets.

Hi Alex - actually it is better to wear the Twibbon all year long because it stimulates conversation with the others on Twitter. They will ask what it is and you MAY create the entire background to your twitter composed of all other people wearing the Twibbon. This shows solidarity and unity behind a CAUSE. And, even though the WHAW date is only one year, many have expanded to World Homeopathy Awareness MONTH and HWC mission is WORLD HOMEOPATHY AWARENESS. Thus, by wearing your twibbon you create BUZZ and wear it like a BADGE, as a member of the community.
You can wear your Twibbon on FaceBook and I will upload the artwork for you to add it to any other photo. I just need some reminders.
