No vaccines are mandatory in Australia. However, the extreme pressure that is applied and the way many things are worded it does confuse many parents. There are also ways of making it seem that parents are being irresponsible and endangering their children and in some cases these parents are taken before the courts despite the wording of the legislation - which I will dig up later.
One case last year that I am very aware of was that of a Chinese woman (married to an Australian man) who had Hep B but did not want her new born vaccinated. She claimed the baby would be safe but she, the baby (hours old), the husband and an almost 3 year-old daughter had to flee. It immediately went up before the Supreme Court and police, both Federal and State, were out searching.
Oddly, I have the Judgment/Order right in front of me. I quote part 2:
"Pursuant to Family Law Act S67Q, the child be delivered to the Plaintiff and that all Officers of the Australian Federal Police & the New South Wales Police Force be authorised with such assistance as they require and if necessary by force to stop & search any vehicle, vessel or aircraft and to enter & search any premises or place for the purpose of finding the child and with such assistance as they require and if necessary by force to recover the child and to deliver the child to an Officer of the Department of Community Service."
The order at the end of the Judgment addressed to the mother and father states "If you disobey paragraph 2 of this Order, you will be liable to sequestration of property and to imprisonment."
This is in regard to a child that was hours old and continued until that child was nearly 2 weeks old. The vaccine in question was required to be given within 7 days of birth but they could not find the family although the search was far and wide, who were in good health, mother and baby doing very well. The mother knew exactly what she was doing and contrary to the media reports, the whole family were closely bonded and VERY caring and loving. This I saw for myself.
There is more but this will do for now. They were within their rights but it was being made to look as if they were disregarding their children's well being.

The Sunday Express (UK) is probably not the most reliable source of information but I checked the content including German sources and found that 13 professors of medicine at 8 highly respected German university medical colleges had indeed issued a warning end of last year already.
A friend here in the UK told me recently that the teacher of her two ten year old twin girls seems to have spoken so enthusiastically about the vaccine that the girls (who have never been vaccinated for anything) came home demanding that they, too, should be given this miracle vaccine.
We really need to create as much awareness, send as much information as we can to everybody we know..

On June 8, 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the drug Gardasil. Gardasil is a vaccine against certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV) which is the primary cause of cervical cancer in women.
Several state and local governments have proposed requiring the vaccine for school girls entering the 6th grade.
Gardasil is approved for girls as young as nine years old, despite the fact that the youngest girls participating in clinical trials were 11-12 years old.
A recent study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, also questioned the general effectiveness of Gardasil. Additionally, there has not been a chance to study long term side effects of the vaccine.
Judicial Watch, concerned about the rush to market and mandate a drug with possible serious adverse effects, filed its first Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request on May 9, 2007, and received 1,637 adverse event reports on May 15, 2007. These reports are submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and used by the FDA to monitor the safety of vaccines.
On August 20, 2007 Judicial Watch filed a request for updated adverse event reports and received 1,824 reports on September, 13 2007. Judicial Watch then filed a complaint against the FDA on October 3, 2007 for failing to fully respond to the May 9, 2007 FOIA request.
Judicial Watch has posted links to the adverse event reports below and continues to monitor VAERS reports submitted to the FDA in relation to Gardasil.
