Thiosinaminum in Geriatrics

Thiosinaminum is reported to be useful in arteriosclerosis. I have had some success in older patients where their memory is starting to fade a bit and there is a history of microinfarcts. Thiosinaminum in low potency helps their memory. Thiosinaminum is a chemical derived from the oil of mustard. Oil of mustard itself, "by inhalation, acts on the sensory nerve endings of the trigeminal neuralgia, pain in the middle ear and sinus pain. I actually have gotten some Oil of mustard and given it to the patients who have had severe migraines, and sinus headaches, and just, by inhalation, it has helped them.

A search through repertory brings forth some peculiar symptoms of Thiosin.

VERTIGO - ARTERIOSCLEROTIC - thiosin.
EAR - ADHESIONS in middle ear - noises in ear; with - thiosin.
EAR - ADHESIONS in middle ear - tinnitus; with - thiosin.
EAR - INFLAMMATION - Media - subacute - thiosin.
EAR - NOISES in - fibrous bands; from - thiosin.
EAR - SUPPURATION - thiosin.
STOMACH - COMPLAINTS of the stomach - acute - thiosin.
RECTUM - COMPLAINTS of rectum - acute - thiosin.
BLADDER - COMPLAINTS of bladder - acute - thiosin.
EXTREMITIES - ANKYLOSIS - thiosin.

I used Thiosin 3x, for my wife... her burns of right leg..and healed wonderfully along with a dose of Causticum.,

I have used Thiosinaminum 4x, in a case of of an Retd.Major of Indian army, He had vertigo, Tinnitus with Catarrhal deafness and Subacute suppurative otitis media,He had thickened drum. He was diagnosed to be suffering from some fibrous change in the nerve resulting in Deafness. He showed excellent results with in 15 days of medication.

Thiosinaminum as seen from the above posts can be declared as a wonder drug by any non-homeopath. What else will you call it when it helps in restoring the memory to an elderly patient of arteriosclerosis, heals the leg burns of another patient and relieves yet another of his vertigo, tinnitus, catarrhal deafness and suppurative otitis media. Absolutely diverse symptoms in different persons yet cured by the one and the same drug. It certainly can be entirely baffling to any allopath but this is how homeopathy works. It offers remedies not disease specifics but patient specifics.
Dr. Dhari has revealed an interesting facet of Thios a chemical found in Mustard oil that the oil’s inhalation can relieve migraine, sinus headache and Trigeminal neuralgia etc. It is quite a useful and handy tip as Mustard oil is widely used in India and is freely available, it can thus stand in good stead to the common man in case of need. By the way this trait of Thios & Mustard oil can it be explained in terms of Dr. Rajan Sankran’s ‘Sensation method’ as I don’t have clear understanding of that method.
Another aspect I am interested to know is, that the doctors in above posts have used Thios in low potencies such as 3x and 4x. Similar potency recommendation is found in Willium Boericke’s MM. Has anybody gainfully used this remedy in little higher potency like 30C ?

I have this medicine only in 30c and is equally effective.You know Nash and Kent,they were using higher and higher potencies.

You know,similarity is more important than the potency.If there is no similarity nothing will happen.That is why we fail.

Thiosinaminum in treatment of plantar fascitis with calcaneal spur.

43 patients with plantar fascitis and calcaneal spur were studies. Rhus tox has been recommended for this condition but gave disappointing results. Most patients with relatively recent symptoms responded to Thiosinaminum 3x. Patients with longer standing symptoms responded to Thiosinaminum 3x combined with Merc Cor 30 c or Merc bin iodatus 6c. After the resolution of symptoms patients were followed up for at least 8 months.
