Hi! Doc, I have heard your radio talks on Homoeopathy World Community. I m not a homeopath but very much interested in it and I stay in the city of Ashdod in Israel. I have a question, in case you may be able to answer. As of now I am pregnant 5 months and am worried of the post-baby flab. Dear Dr. Aadil Kasim, I am following your blogs quite regularly. I am a Tobacco chewer myself and am trying to wean off the habit. I have read a lot about bad effects of smoking cigarettes. Is chewing tobacco better than cigarettes? Does homoeopathy have any medicines that can reduce the craving for tobacco and cigarette smoking? Andrew, North Finchley, London

Dr. Aadil, I'm trying to find which of your programs could have information on periocarditis. My husband had periocarditis 5 years ago, with effusion and he had a perdiocardial window surgery performed. More recently, he has had symptoms of congestive heart failure. I have been a lay homeopath for 8 years but I have little experience with such serious conditions but my husband refuses to go to another homeopath. Just yesterday we were informed that he doesn't have congestive heart failure - his pericardium may be "calcified" and so restricting his heart function. He wants to avoid a periocardectomy, which has been proposed (tentatively).
I think my lack of success prior to this time may be because I was not considering the previous pericarditis as a factor, especially the possible induration of the pericardial tissue. Could calc-fl be indicated?
You have mentioned acon-f for many congestive heart failure cases. He has done well with acon (napellus), but only up to a point. Most recently he had chills and fever with sudden onset which responded to acon 200C, so I am tempted to continue. Can you give me some differentials between the two remedies?
One peculiar symptom is a "heart to head" shooting pain which he has had, off and on, for about 30 years. He says the pain shoots up to his brain (straight up the left side) and then "sizzles." Several times during constitutional treatment, this symptom has disappeared for several months but has returned. Do you have some insight into this symptom? He has no knowledge of his father's medical history, but his mother did not have cardio-vascular problems.
