Creating Waves of Awareness
§ 10 Sixth Edition:
The material organism, without the vital force, is capable of no sensation, no function, no self-preservation (1), it derives all sensation and performs all the functions of life solely by means of the immaterial being (the vital principle) which animates the material organism in health and in disease.
1) It is dead, and only subject to the power of the external physical world; it decays, and is again resolved into its chemical constituents.
Dr Prasad Rasal:
In this aphorism, Dr Samuel Hahnemann brings together the details regarding the Vital Force and the Vital Principle. He explains that the material organism, without the vital force, is capable of no sensation, no function, no self-preservation. The material body derives all sensation and performs all the functions of life solely by means of the immaterial being (the vital principle) which animates the material organism in health and in disease.
Thus, the animation to the immaterial being is because of the Vital Principle i.e. nothing but the soul. If it is lost, the human being is considered dead. What remains after death is nothing but the material body which decays and again becomes part and parcel of this universe.

Vital principle is the vital force or vitality how we can say it is soul? It is natural phenomenon which animate the material body. Binding the cations and anions together is vital principle. Cations (positively-charged ions) and anions (negatively-charged ions) are formed when a metal loses electrons, and a nonmetal gains those electrons. The electrostatic attraction between the positives and negatives brings the particles together and creates an ionic compound, such as sodium chloride.
So energy which requires to bind sodium and chloride together is vital principle.
Soul has something different than the VP:The immaterial part of a person; the actuating cause of an individual life.Immaterial has no any form and shape or size. Vital force animate the material body and The material body derives all sensation and performs all the functions of life solely by means of the immaterial being (the vital principle) which animates the material organism in health and in disease.
Immaterial dose not mean soul it mean the vital principle, vital force(vitality).
Permalink Reply by Dr. chandrakant bhapkar on July 12, 2011 at 2:17am Mind, body and soul has attraction between them and it caused by vital principle. Mind, body and soul has oppositely charged cells which has nucleus and its own vital force to attract together. They bring together and form a human being. Which has its sensation and performs all the functions of life and is living superior intelligence, articulate speech, and erect carriage.

but i would like to add Dr Hahnemann was not aware of cations and anions and neither the nucleus.
what he simply meant an simple unseen force which animates the living organism..maintaining harmony.
the other explanation given by Dr.Vijaykar a indian Homeopath that it is nothing but homeostasis.
