What does it mean to be a good homeopath?

Yes, patience, I had forgotten about that and wisdom and letting go of our own ego desire to expedite or push healing in a patient. All things in their own time in their own way. Katalin

In essence I do agree we do not need a different Repertory however it would be nice to have a specific Book that describes how the remedies infuluence the animal - specially since most remedies should not be given to animals in high doses, since the…

An interesting question. I wonder if there's any reason to use a repertory different from the one each homeopath is familiar with. Emotions are much the same. The physical symptoms may be a bit more difficult to define, since animals are more limite…

How has homeopathy changed your life? Take a moment to think about your answer.
I brought my children up on Homeopathy. I turn to it for all my medical needs. It turned my son's life around when he was just a baby and it relieved my maternal heart. I was so worried about my son and through the goodness of a chiropractor I was referred to a Homeopath. When I saw what Homeopathy can do there was no turning back for me. It became my main source of healing each and every time my children or I got sick. I love how it heals in such a beautiful way. I saw Homeopathy as a miracle. I feel so blessed that I was open to hear the truth about it. To think that I almost walked out of the Homeopath's office thinking he was crazy to give my son Arsenic. Thank God I did not. Thank God I stayed and now, by the grace of God I have the honor and privilege to be involved with such a phenomenal healing art in the company of amazing healers.
What are your interests besides homeopathy? Inquiring minds want to know.

Dear Katalin,
thank you for your invitation. Although you live in US I suppose you are
Hungarian origine. This is really nice. I have been living in Hungary for three year and many of my Hungarian friends use homeopathy now. The globuli can be bought now in almost every pharmacy. There is also a fantastic homeopathic doctor in Budapest who cured my Hungarian friend from breast cancer. Sunny regards from Japan

Hello Katalin.
Thank you for you warm welcome to this forum.
Apologies for my tardy response :-(
I've been enjoying settling into Hong Kong, and haven't thought too much about work!

Hi Katalin. Thank you for your welcome, and your comments. I moved to Hong Kong with my husband, whose work has brought us out here for a few years. As I was here as a child, it's great to be back. Such a dynamic, interesting place! The rich, ancient culture and the vibrant hum of constant activity are like fresh soil for my roots.
Apologies for my tardy reply - we have had visitors and all the business that comes with settling in to a new place. And I've been enjoying a change of scenery!
Best,
Lisa

I am really at the beginning to use homeopathy, so I welcome every advice and help, how can I learn and use homeopathy etc.

Greeting from Hungary,

It is so encouraging to see how progressive it is in Hungary. I wish it were so here in America. I think that the AMA and the pharmaceutical industry is very deeply entrenched in our economy and because of this stronghold it will be a while before Homeopathy becomes mainstream. However, trends and systems are changing at record speeds nowadays, and anything is possible. I would love to have had the medical training behind me that you have. I often feel at a disadvantage not having had any clinical on the job training that doctors have in hospitals and the extensive medical knowledge you are required to have. Nevertheless we can still make a difference in people's lives.
As to my Hungarian ethnicity: I was born in MOntreal Quebec Canada to Hungarian parents who reluctantly fled Hungary during WWII. Unfortunately, the option to stay was not possible. My father was an officer in the Hungarian army and staying would have meant his life. Although we could not live in Hungary, my parents safeguarded Hungarian traditions and required of us to speak, read and write Hungarian and to become familiar with the culture, history and geography of Hungary. To this day I speak, read and write Hungarian, I know Hungarian folkloric dance steps, I sing Hungarian songs and even know the Hungarian anthem. In my heart I am and always will be Hungarian. So it always does my heart good when I connect with another Hungarian.
Good to know you.
Viszont latasra!

Hello Katalin,

Thank you for adding me as your friend. When I first saw your profile here, I knew that somebody in your family is hungarian. In Hungary only MD can do homeopathy. There are two main group. First af all, Classical Homeopaths. We are about 600 in our association ( MHOE=Magyar Homeopata Orvosi Egyesület ) ,but a think that only 100-150 colleagues practising. The others are clinical homeopaths. The last 10 years we organized a lot of good homeopathic seminars, and learned a lot from them. Master Farokh, Jan Scholten, F.Vermuelen, Sankaran etc. More and more people want to heal deeper, and without side effects of allopathic drugs.

Greetings from Hungary, from Budaörs,

Ferenc

Thank You. As I am a Holistic Health Practitioner and a large part of my practice includes Massage Therapy, I shall look into this method. It sounds intriguing. How would you assess the results of Bowen Therapy? Where and when do you find it to be most useful ? Have you used it in conjunction with Homeopathy?

I'm full of questions. I appreciate your time. I know it is valuable.

Regards
Katalin

My two-second sound-bite for Bowen is: "Acupuncture without the needles ... but not like Acupressure :) ".

The longer version is that it is a physical manipulative technique very similar to Craniosacral or Reiki (the latter only really being true in my strange hybrid version), and it essentially involves the gentle reorientation of the superficial fascia in such a manner as to cause long-standing and ideally permanent realignment and balancing of the fascia, muscles, tendons, bones ... and basically all deeper structures!

In fact, there are many alternative practitioners who more or less use Bowen as their core treatment modality, as it can theoretically treat virtually anything. My first teacher, knowing my interest in homeopathy, even once noted the many parallels she saw between the two fields with regards to applications and theory. Of course, I've since come to realize that these parallels are due to an even deeper truth that really all healing modalities touch on (stuff like the direction of cure vs. that of disease, the minimum dose, etc.). Yet it is true that few of these modalities truly honor the concept of the minimum dose like Bowen or homeopathy.

Just as the path most take in homeopathy and naturopathic medicine begins with many years of academia and testing, which typically requires use of only certain discrete portions of one's brain, followed by practical work, which accesses other heretofore undiscovered areas of the brain ... so to does the path to mastering Bowen only begin with the didactic work one is taught in class. Intuition and theory eventually meld to create a unique treatment for each patient as an individual - as is the case in homeopathy, naturopathy (the latter, at least the way I prefer to practice), and truly any healing modality.
