"I feel that homeopathy does not fit well with the favoured RCT model of research, due to the fact it is such an individualised therapy. Unfortunately most the scientist I have dealt with will not look at anything other than RCT's, considering…"
"One of the basic concepts of homeopathy is individualization. Any evidence of a cure obtained in a particular case with a particular remedy cannot necessarily be replicated as another similar looking case cannot exactly be similar which may call for…"

What brought you to homeopathy? Tell your 150 word inspirational story that connects you to homeopathy. How has homeopathy changed your life?
Many years ago when my children were little I had the good fortune to live near a homeopath who became the primary health care provider to my family and our animals. Over the years she shared her knowledge with me willingly and I built up my own collection of remedies and began treating the family myself. I then went on and trained in homeopathy and am now in practice sharing what I have learnt

What is your vision for the future of homeopathy
As I come from a conventional medical background, having nursed for many years prior to discovering homeopathy I would love to see homeopathy used alongside other healing modalities within conventional health care models and to see homeopathy more widely understood.
Why I would like to join this network?
I want to promote homeopathy, I want to meet like-minded people, I want to learn more about homeopathy, I want to advocate for homeopathy, I want to learn how to market my skills, I want to join a local community of homeopaths, I want to be involved with the homeopathic community at large
Write detailed background to introduce yourself. What school did you attend? Year of graduation? Degree or diploma? Where do you practice?
I studied nursing straight after leaving school and worked in this profession for over 10yrs before becoming more interested in natural methods of healing. I have run workshops on growing and using herbs, am trained in Iridology and have worked in community pharmacy as a vitamin consultant. While I embrace all natural healing methods, homeopathy is my love and passion
If you do not have a reference so that we can verify your homeopathic status, please send a copy of your homeopathy diploma and association certificates to HWCmembers at gmail dot com
Homeopathy has empowered and enriched my life. I was able to raise 3 children without the use of antibiotics and other such drugs and felt confident to handle any situation that arose out of my knowledge of homeopathy... an incredibly empowering experience for me. I have gained greater insight into myself, others and the world around me through my experiences with homeopathy.
What are your interests besides homeopathy? Inquiring minds want to know.
All forms of natural medicine and healing

sorry to take so long to respond, i haven't been on hwc for about a month for one reason or another....
i was involved with a charity called getwell uk. getwell uk set themselves up to provide vetted complimentary practitioners to gp's on the nhs. gp's have always had a problem with referring to cam practitioners because they have no way of knowing whether they will get a quality service, and any referral they make is their responsibility - including anything that may go wrong for whatever reason. we were multidsciplinary as a result, and i worked alongside acupuncturists, osteopaths, massage and aromatherapists. i was on the pilot scheme, which lasted for 2 years, and we worked in an nhs health centre seeing patients through gp referral. we often got their hopeless cases - people who never got better and were on loads of drugs. the scheme was seen to be a success and rolled out to another london borough and northern ireland, where it was equally successful, and then funding was pulled, so it came to an end.
the second project i did was through the women's centre where i run a low cost/free clinic mostly for asylum seekers. having met peter chapell after he developed a remedy for genocide and war trauma, and also rape and torture. i ran a trial for a year treating asylum seeking women with these remedies. a report on the results are due to be published in links in september.
