Creating Waves of Awareness
It is with great sadness that I write that our Respected teacher, Dr. D. P. Rastogi has passed away following cardiac arrest today morning (15-12-2010) at his residence at 9-30am. I pray to God to give the strength to bear this massive loss to Dr. Rastogi's family & the entire Homoeopathic fraternity.
The prayer meeting will take place at Sanatan Dharam Mandir, S-Block, Greater-Kailash part 2, New Delhi on 17th Dec friday from 3pm to 4pm. You can send your condolence message to his son Dr. Navneet Rastogi's mobile no. 9810086699.

Dr. D. P Rastogi born on 8th May 1939 was indeed a legend, having passed out as a Gold Medalist from the Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College, and then further from London & Glasgow, Dr.Rastogi has painstakingly developed the academics in homoeopathy. He has established the Boenninghausen Academy for Classical Homoeopathy to promote the teaching of Boenninghausen’s Repertory. He was Ex-Director, Central Council of Research in Homeopathy, New Delhi, India, and was the Ex-Principal, Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi, India.
All this is apart from being an Honorary Visiting Professor to a number of Homoeopathic colleges.Dr. Rastogi’s painstaking efforts, have given to Homoeopathy priceless works like ‘Golden Tips by Masters’, ‘Use of Indigenous Drugs as Common Remedies’, ‘An Overview of Repertories for PG students’ & many more to state. His years of toil, relentless perseverance, has conferred upon him Awards like the Hahnemann Award-1995, Dhanwantri Award-1997, & more recently the Life Time Achievement Award. A keen observer, a great listener & an Embodiment of Knowledge, ever ready to share, Dr. Dhan Prakash Rastogi, alias Dr.D.P.Rastogi, lived true to his name-The Light of Virtue.
His writings will live with us and he will always be remembered for all the great things he has done for our wonderful healing art. I, Dr. Navneet Bidani join with so many others who knew Dr. Rastogi in offering our deepest sympathy & condolences to his near & dear ones on his passing. May his soul rest in peace.

We will really miss him during each and every homeopathic seminars. No interaction session is complete without some wise comments from Rastogi sir. His healthy criticism used to enlighten us. Even during teabreak, he used to give some practical hints to us, but on one condition - we should get his favourite strong-coffee from the counter. I will really miss you sir, especially during the teabreak. No more words to express may sorrow...
condolences to his family and loved ones ..his past presence will always be remembered and his absence will always be felt in future ,i will always remain indebt to him for inspiring me to use a repertory ..

A great loss for the international Homoeopathy in general and Indian Homoeopathy in particular.
I am fortunate enough to be with him in close connection as he was my guide in my Post-Graduation tenure. He was the teacher of teachers in Homoeopathic subjects and particularly so in Repertory. He was a pure Boenninghausenian Homoeopath.
I am sending my deep condolence to his family and friends.
MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

Comment by Dr. M. A. Usmani on December 18, 2010 at 12:52am Everyone who's born in this mundane world must die one day. But on the exit of a great soul, people moans : "He didn't live in vain." A good natured and always smiling person that Rastogi was, he always impressed the person who talked to him. I remember, when he was lecturing at Lahore, on Lycopodium's personality. he drew a beautiful portrait of the remedy. he told that Lyco. was avaricious and greedy, i asked him what was the remedy, Lyco.+generous. He sweetly smiled and said, "can't tell now".
Comment by Dr. MAS on December 18, 2010 at 3:39am Ya indeed, a great loss but every body has to leave this world. I pray for his family to bear this heavy loss.
My deepest condolences to Dr.Rastogi's family. A great loss to homeopathic community. It is hard to digest losing great people - we are hearing two sad news (of David Warkentin & Dr.Rastogi) in short span.
