Hi Dana ~ This is an excellent articles, backed up by supportive information to each statement of fact. Keep it up because the political environment is on the war path. The opposition stands in the mud and cannot get out of the quicksand. They go deeper and deeper into what drives the down. Maybe they will get sucked under by their own movement.

I was wondering if you got your title from this TED TALK

Deb...I did not get my idea for the title of my article from THAT lecture...the name of THAT lecture is derived from a classic book by THAT title. I changed MY title because I was focusing my article on medical research. Yeah, I'm quite proud of my title and its tweeked name-change from the classic title...

very good: Damned Lies and Statistics: Untangling Numbers from the Media, Politicians, and Activists by Joel Best Now I see. It is quite true that numbers can be twisted to make them say whatever you would like. Manipulate the graph, the data, the conclusions. It is not hard to do and then it can support or confirm your argument.

Dr. Ullman- your article is lucid, articulate and indeed correct. As a practicing scientist it simply amazes me to witness the corruption of the medical establishment-- in the name of profit.
