Diarrhea – last time I presented a case of infantile diarrhea, now I am relating a case of diarrhea of an adult, though I have to encounter the cases of diarrhea in my general practice often and as often achieve good result from the minute doses of homoeopathic remedies. Whenever my diagnosis is correct the case gets cured promptly and there does not arise any need for re-hydration. Such cases often remain in mind where the so called modern and advanced system of medicine fails and homoeopathy succeeds. Hereunder is related such a case.
It was in 1980 a gentleman of 48 years of age had been suffering from diarrhea for three days in spite of the Allopathic medication he did not improved a bit. On the fourth day I was approached for help. His symptoms were – most frequent loose stools, tongue thickly coated, and profuse salivation yet thirst for water often. On these symptoms I prescribed three potions of Mercurious Solubilis 200, one dose to be taken immediately one after next purging and the last next morning if stools continue. Next morning the patient reported he had next purging about an hour after the first dose so he took the second dose, after that he did not require the third dose. He was cured in an hour.
