Does Anyone Have Venus Flytrap Plant?

This little experiment was sent to me few days back - I´ve been asking around and it seems that noone I know does have this plant to try it out.

If you do have this plant and Ammonium Carb. 12c - would you be willing to try it and film/videotape the experiment to send to me or post here on HWC??

Just try this experiment:
1. Buy one venus flytrap plant.
2. Buy one bottle of Ammonium Carbonicum 12C (liquid).
3. Put one drop of water on the plant (nothing happens).
4. Put one drop of Ammonium Carbonicum 12C on the plant (the leave
reacts and cloeses).

Above experiment was "invented" by Darwin and it will prove to anyone
that homeopathy is more than placebo.

But instead of putting water, we should put a drop of dispensing alcohol and then use Ammonium carb 12c, so that we can comfirm the difference between placebo and homoeopathic potency. Also use some other remedies so that we can prove that alcohol is not responsible for this reaction. Then only the study becomes complete. When any insects get trapped in between the modified leaves of this carnivorous plant, it closes immediately. I request the HWC members to do the experiment and post the findings.

Comment by Debby Bruck on December 4, 2009 at 2:07am: Please explain how this 'proves' homeopathy works. If you tickle this plant with a paint brush it will also close. Will alcohol burn the plant? What if other remedies or substances are tested. What is special about ammonium carb? How was that remedy chosen as a mechanism to trigger a response from the plant? Any insect walking on venus will also trigger closure.

When I was in matric, for demonstrating reflex action, our teacher demonstrated through frog by removing his complete and venus fly trap. Gudny Osk Didriksdottir's demonstration is for proving reflax action of homeopathic potency on the body after administration.
