Update On The Issue of Caring For Animals In Production Farms
Have you become unsensitized to the foods you eat? Do you know where your food comes from? The American Food Industry is the most harmful to the health of workers, the animals, the land, air and water, and thus
America is the only Cannibalistic Feeding country in the world. Mad cow disease and more.
The problem in America occurs when all the animal waste run-off contaminates every other food production of vegetable crops, etc.
What Will Turn You Into A Vegetarian? There may be a day when you will have no choice as our environment changes. The alternative media provides vegetarian diet recipes, discusses the problems with growing protein foods to our environment and warns of the health outcomes when maintaining a meat diet. While, we do not generally get headline news from mainstream media to sway people to go for "Meatless Monday" or learn about the devastation to environmentally fragile land masses and water contamination from farming practices in order to produce the nation's meat.
So, we might consider reading, "Food shortages could force world into vegetarianism" on The Guardian in their Global News section shocking. Scientists conclude that due to a projected world water shortage and an increase in population to 9 billion people by the year 2050, growing meat will be unsustainable. As if it is not unsustainable now, it certainly would be impossible at the projected rates.
The article stresses the need for food provisions, yet, even more concern might be placed upon the water shortages. Without water, there is no life. As our waterways become contaminated with run off, pesticides, insecticides, radioactive fallout, Giardia and other parasites, chemical wastes, animal effluent and antibiotics and other drugs, we won't have enough clean fresh water for everyone.
Growing food requires clean water to make safe edible food. Approaching a water shortage by the numbers indicates that growing grains takes much less water than animal products; and also can preserve the natural landscapes, rather than to cut down the rainforests, which hold the water closer to the earth and provide moist filters to our air system and supports the world water cycle.
"Nine hundred million people already go hungry and 2 billion people are malnourished in spite of the fact that per capita food production continues to increase," they said. "With 70% of all available water being in agriculture, growing more food to feed an additional 2 billion people by 2050 will place greater pressure on available water and land."

Comment by Tikva Sasson on November 9, 2009 at 7:45am Everybody, at least all the members our HWC, must see these videos.
Mr. I.J Swamy narrated a scene in Army. Actually non-vegetations eat feared animals meat. That is why they absorbed their inability.
Comment by Anna Lubaszka on August 21, 2012 at 2:39pm This is one of the main reasons why I do not consume meat or most animal products. To treat animals this inhumanly is unconscionable.
Yes, we must be vegetarians to come across so many problems.
